An instrument invented by Belloc for plugging the nasal fossae, in cases of hemorrhage. It consists of a curved silver canula, open at both ends, and furnished with a button. The instrument is passed through the nares to the throat; and a plug is attached to the button, so that, when the instrument is drawn forwards through the nose, the posterior nostril is stopped.
