Was founded in November, 1771,by John Dunlap at Philadelphia. During the British occupation of Philadelphia it was removed to Lancaster. After the evacuation it was brought back and published tri-weekly. It was afterward changed to a daily, and appeared under the title Pennsylvania Packet and Daily Advertiser in 1784.
