An English writer of works of psychological and historical fiction, second wife of the poet Shelley; born at London, Aug. 30, 1797; died there, Feb. 1, 1851. Her first story, "Frankenstein" (1818), won for her a place among the imaginative writers of England; it was followed by "Valperga", a historical romance (1823); "The Last Man" (1826); "Lodore" (1835); "Falkner" (1837).

Dopamine Acetyltransferase
- An enzyme that catalyzes the of groups from acetyl-CoA to arylamines. They have wide specificity for aromatic amines, particularly serotonin, and can also catalyze acetyl transfer between arylamines without CoA. EC 2.3.1.5.
