This is not a common disease. Palpitations; irregular or intermitting pulse; excessive dyspnoea, amounting often to orthopnoea, and dulness over a large space on percussion, will cause the pericardium to be suspected. The treatment is that of dropsies in general. It is, usually, however, of the active kind.
