Same etymon. Depuratorius, Depurative, (F.) Depuratoire. That which causes depuration, as the urinary and cutaneous depurations. Applied, also, to diseases which have been considered capable of modifying the constitution advantageously, by acting on the composition of the fluids -such as certain eruptions, intermittents, &c. The word is, also, appropriated to medicines and diet, by which the same effect is sought to be induced.
