(Fremont, O.), garrisoned by 160 men under Major Croghan, was attacked August 1, 1813, by General Proctor and Tecumtha with 4000 men. After a heavy bombardment, a charge was made but gallantly repulsed. The British lost 121, the Americans only one killed.
