A cell surface protein-tyrosine kinase receptor for HEPATOCYTE GROWTH FACTOR. It consists of an extracellular alpha chain which is disulfide-linked to the transmembrane beta chain. The cytoplasmic portion contains the catalytic domain and critical sites for the regulation of kinase activity.
