A name given, in Norway, to a disease, bearing considerable analogy to the yaws. Some have esteemed it a species of lepra or elephantiasis. Another form- the Spedalske, or Spedalskhed -of Norway, appears to be a variety of tubercular lepra. Under the epithelial scales, numerous acari have been found; and the affection has been called Scabies crustosa, and Scabies Norvegica Boeckii, after Boeck, who well described a case of it.
