This seat of a celebrated medical school in the S. E. of France was at one time renowned for its climate, and especially in regard to its adaptation to consumptive cases. This is now exploded, and it is at present esteemed an unfit residence for them. The climate possesses the general characters of that of south-eastern France- being dry, hot, and irritating; subject to frequent vicissitudes, and especially to blasts of keen, cold, northerly winds. It is, indeed, most injurious in pulmonary diseases.
