An American dramatic poet; born at New Haven, Conn., Sept. 26, 1789; died near there, Jan. 4, 1841. A merchant in New York, he retired from business in 1822. He wrote: "The Judgment, a Vision" (1812); and the dramas "Percy's Masque" (1820) and "Hadad" (1825). His "Dramas, Discourses, and other Pieces" appeared in 1839.

Dopamine Acetyltransferase
- An enzyme that catalyzes the of groups from acetyl-CoA to arylamines. They have wide specificity for aromatic amines, particularly serotonin, and can also catalyze acetyl transfer between arylamines without CoA. EC 2.3.1.5.
