The climate of the Bahamas is not considered to be well adapted for consumptive patients, on account of the rapid alternations of temperature, and the prevalence of winds, often of a dry, cold character. Still, the phthisical valetudinarians from most portions of the United States might derive advantage from a residence there during the winter months. The accommodations are not, however, good, or numerous.
