About 5 miles from the Washita river, and about a quarter of a degree north of the Louisiana line, there are about 70 of those springs ;-Ouachita or Washitau Springs. They are thermal, varying from 138 to 150 Fahrenheit, and are employed in rheumatism, cutaneous affections, &c.
