Arcueil is about one league south of Paris. The water contains carbonic acid, carbonate of lime, sulphate of lime, chloride of sodium, and some deliquescent salts. A celebrated society held its meetings at this village, of which Berthollet, Humboldt, La Place, &c., were members.
